Obituary for James E. Standing, May 25, 1942 - January 8, 2022 (There is a photo in the obituary if you would like me to send it.) James E. Standing, age 79, of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Comforts of Home in St. Croix Falls. James was born on May 25, 1942 to Victor and Louise (Polansky) Standing in Minneapolis, Minnesota. When James graduated high school, he joined the Minnesota National Guards for 6 years and was honorably discharged. After his military career, he started his own company, Standing Color Lab, where he worked his entire life. James enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors. He especially enjoyed his 52 years living on Deer Lake where he would often call it “God’s Country”. He will be dearly missed by many. James is survived by his sons, Victor and Matthew; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, William (Ellen) and sister, Louise (William) Quirk; mother-in-law, Florence Bandholz and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. James is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; parents, Victor and Louise; father-in-law, Jack Bandholtz and brother, Al (Barb) Standing.
